Howdy. So I've got THREE DW codes available! Come and get 'em! I've pretty much decided that it will be a rare day when I post on my DW scifiroots account. I've purchased a paid account for enchanting_muse over there if you'd like to add me and see my fannish-ness. No locked content (thus far?)

Currently active fandoms for me: Star Trek (XI and TOS) and Eureka. Everyone's checked out the ST comms st_xi_kink  and st_fanart_meme , right? Well go do it now. (And I am soooooooooooooo behind on the kink meme again. *sigh*)

Oh! And I'm more posting on enmuse  here now. Finally ditching the community (enchanting muse) - even though it's still open - for all things related to fandom. Since i'm not going back to all the previous posts I've worked on with DW/IJ accounts in the past month and a half, enmuse  doesn't have everything on it. Any future postings will be available, however, seeing as I've got cross-posting setup automatically on DW, which I'm posting from. Anyway, don't be totally weirded out if I've added you onto my alternative account. =p

I probably came across the "big bang" fic challenge before in some fandom, but honestly I don't remember. So when I stumbled across something today for Firefly I then thought about my current obsession (well, one of them) - Eureka. Huh. I mean, "big bang" is such a Eureka thing anyway. Would I participate? Jeez, I dunno. In some capacity I certainly would.

So now I'm trying to gauge interest. Obviously I need to post on Eureka-specific comms but my head hurts too much to really dig through rules of everything at the moment.

To sum up the big bang thing, lemme quote LJ comm's thelittlebang:

Song search: I’m trying to get my hands on a copy of the remix of NIN’s “The Day the Whole World Went Away” that plays during the Terminator: Salvation trailers. It’s not the original version featured on their albulm Fragile. Already checked. I did a search on iTunes/Amazon but the versions aren’t right from what I can tell from the previews.

Request/shout-out: I’m working on a variety of crafts this summer, including jewelry with “found objects” and experimenting with resin casting. What am I asking for? Well, I’m curious if you’ve got little items lying around that you don’t want (or maybe you want modified?) that I might be able to use. I’m thinking game pieces, barbie shoes, old keys, old music tapes, etc.

Okay, so we're cleaning house, which includes getting rid of the vast majority of VHS tapes in the house. Already turned in store-bought tapes to Half Price Books, but we're tossing most of the home recorded ones in the trash. (Oh the environmentalist in me is cringing big time.) But here's the thing, I've got probably somewhere around 50 tapes of Man from U.N.C.L.E. with two episodes a tape. It really is the majority of the series. I've got everything on boxset now so I don't need these.

No purchase required, though I ask for re-embursement for shipping since it'll be a mega box. I'll be sure to count exactly how many tapes there are before hand.

Also, I've got a number of Gundam Wing Japanese books - two "perfect files" for Endless Waltz, additionally the film comic, and the Peacemakers (or something) manga.

And a Rinoa (of FF8) statuette.

So I've really stopped watching CSI since around season 6 BUT my mom continued watching and she saved the 9x20 episode "A Space Oddity." So fucking hilarious. Overwhelming focus on playing off Star Trek (orig) with a show called Astro Quest. I love the sci-fi convention's name: Whatifican. *g* 

lolz. Hodges and Wendy... ftw. New favorite side-pairing, I think. Hodges has hilarious fantasies based off the show. Wendy certainly has to dress in some weird getups. *g* But omg... they're cute. Hilarious. *snickers*

Ok, I'm going back to watching the show now.

Aww, and this bartender just gave Nick a free dvd of Astro Quest. (And suddenly I can totally see a lil' slash pairing... *grin*)

So I've taken down the vast majority of my posters and my door is bare (sad!). My microwave, tv stand, and fridge have all been sold. There are full boxes and milk crates in my room. Yeah, it's preparation to move. Less than 48 more hours in Iowa, if that's believeable... holy moley.

I looked up my grades and I rocked my last semester with all A's! In fact, my GPA went back to what it'd been before last semester's. So I definitely managed to stay in the cum laude range. =) I'm really, really happy about that. And tomorrow at the honors convocation I get my certification and $100 for my prize-winning essay. >^,,^< Whee! Then Sunday AM I graduate. Holy crap, man.

I am kinda sore, pretty tired, and hungry. The latter will be taken care of shortly as my mom and one of our family friends has gotten into town. Yay for Panera's! Salad/sandwich sounds soooo nummy right now. =)

Anyway, can't believe this is the end of my undergrad career. Sheesh.
